The unresolved bits of our past live in our body...help yourself release it

If you've ever attended one of my yoga classes, you know how much I LOVE the body, the mind, the emotions and how they're all linked together.

I LOVE how we can unravel our deepest holding patterns, physically AND mentally, and totally change the way we feel about ourselves, how we show up in our lives, and even how our body functions, moves and feels, all through breath, awareness and movement.

”Shoulder Tension: burdens and responsibility, your own or what you've unconsciously taken on (when did you start doing this...probably when you were really young...yes?) This is an example of a pattern. Think of the repercussions this pattern has on your life. A low level mental stress 24/7....

Neck Tension: Fear and repressed self expression/communication, trust issues, a physical response to danger

Upper Back (back of heart)- Anger, grief, sorrow, sadness, heartbreak

Middle Back-Insecurity and powerlessness, feeling unsupported or helpless, hopeless

Lower Back-Guilt, Shame, Unworthiness, sexual inadequacy, fear

Stomach- Inability to process/digest emotions (negative or positive)”

Inner thighs- Fear of Vulnerability, social anxiety. This is part of our deep fascia line where we store the deepest suppressed emotion. When I see people with a tension pattern all the way up the inner leg and thigh, I will always find that their root charkra is incredibility contracted. The root chakra is about fundamental primal safety. There's always a fear of being fully seen, making a seen, making a peep. It's like an animal trying not to breath or move in order to not be eaten by it's predator. There's often a deep undercurrent of fear the runs their life. They may worry a lot, they may have trouble making changes work in their lives.

Psychological tension, emotional tension = physical tension.

It's necessary to move the body in a way that you can access your muscles -->stretching, yoga, somatics, massage etc,
Get into your body,
Breathe
Become aware of, familiar with your inner landscape
Then you get to release.
Then you are the master of your domain💗
